Um 14:45 Uhr bekam ich den Anruf vom Tierheim, daß ich die beiden Kater jetzt abholen könne. Sie waren gerade zurück von der Impfung beim Tierarzt und waren bereit zur Abholung.

Ich hab mit einer Decke die Rückbank im Auto abgedeckt.

Die freundlichen Helfer vom Tierheim gaben mir ein paar Sachen mit: ein Katzenklo, ein paar Decken, damit sie weiterhin vertraute Gerüche haben und sich ein wenig zuhause fühlen konnten, und etwas Futter. Und natürlich die gesamte Impf-Dokumentation.

Jetzt alles ins Auto.

Die zwei Kater waren jeweils in einer eigenen Transportbox, mit Decken verhängt, damit sie nicht sehen konnten, was los ist, und somit weniger Stress haben.

Und dann kamen wir zuhause an. Ich stellte die Boxen im Wohnzimmer auf das Sofa, öffnete die Türen beider Boxen geöffnet, aber vorerst blieben die beide Kater drin, verängstigt, haben sich nicht raus gewagt.

Around 14:45 I got the phone call from the shelter that I could pick up the cats. They just had received the last vaccination at the vet and were ready to go.

I put a blanket on the backseat of the car.

The friendly staff from the shelter gave me a few things: a cat loo, some blankets with the smell of the cats so that they would feel a bit like at home, and some food. Also of course the vaccination documentation.

Now everything into the car.

The cats were each in their transport box, covered with blankets so that they could not see what is going on. This moving is a lot of stress for them.

And then we arrived at home. I put the boxes on the sofa in the living room. The two cats were both still very shy, remained in their boxes, did not dare to go out.
