In my living room: leaving the box - In meinem Wohnzimmer: Verlassen der Transport-Box

Initially the transport boxes are covered, so as not to scare the cats. Beim Transport sind die Boxen mit Tüchern verhängt, damit die beiden Kater nicht verschreckt werden.

Then the covering blankets are removed, the doors are opened. Dann wurden die Decken entfernt, die Türen geöffnet.

Ich hatte beide Transport-Boxen auf mein Sofa gestellt, die Türen der Boxen geöffnet. Die beiden Kater blieben drin, mindestens 2 Stunden lang. Keiner traute sich raus.

Ich spielte ein paar YouTube-Videos für Katzen, u.a. "Music for Cats". Die beiden schauten recht neugierig, aber blieben in ihren Boxen.

Aber dann spielte ich ein Video mit einer Aufnahme der Orchestermusik von von Ralph Vaughan Williams: "Die Nachtigall steigt auf". Und zu diesen Klängen der Solo-Violine kommt Socke langsam aus der Box gekrochen. Schaut sich um, geht auf dem Boden herum, geduckt, hält sichere Distanz von mir. 

Flint blieb weiterhin 2 Stunden lang in seiner Box.

Später spielte ich auf YouTube das Violinkonzert von Max Bruch:

Socke hörte begeistert zu.

I had placed the transport boxes on my sofa, opened the door of the boxes. Both cats stayed inside these boxes for at least two hours.

I played a few videos on YouTube, for providing something interesting to look at for the cats. I also found some "music for cats".

Both Flint and Socks reacted a bit when they heard these music sounds, looked curious. But still stayed put in their boxes.

But then I played them a recording of Ralph Vaughan Williams' "The lark ascending". Both cats seemed mesmerized by the music with the violin solo. And to the sounds of that music Socks finally walked out of his box. He walked around, kept a safe distance from me. 

Flint did stay in the box for another two hours.

Later I played on YouTube the Violin Concerto by Max Bruch:
